Dust If You Must
After reading the original poem, beautifully written by Rose Milligan, my drunk-self penned the following version:
Dust if you must
Just don't create a fuss
Do what you must
Be clean, don't cuss
Dust if you must
Have patience, have respect
Be as you are
No one is perfect
Dust if you must
What are you worried about
Let it be...let it go
Life will balance itself out
Dust if you must
Cobwebs everywhere, all around
Can you see through, think straight
Are you flying high, or feet firmly ground
Dust if you must
Try all you can
Life fucks us all
Girl, boy, woman or man
Dust if you must
Eventually, all goes bust
Does it matter in the end
You, yourself, will make more dust!
